Izzy Poirier

Izzy Poirier is a brand and editorial designer, strategist and art director based in Ottawa, Canada. With a background in fine art, she approaches design conceptually, looking beyond how something appears to understand what it means, how it behaves and why people should care about it.

Her independent practice spans brand strategy, visual identity, editorial design, campaigns, objects and cultural experiences. She is particularly interested in work that contributes to culture, creates participation and gives people something worth gathering around.

In 2020, Izzy founded Ottawa Design Club, an independent creative community producing talks, exhibitions, workshops and publications. Through the Club, she has spent the past six years exploring how design can create connection, belonging and cultural momentum beyond the finished object.
